Pregnancy Massage

Your body undergoes many demanding changes during pregnancy and so each massage will be tailored to you and how you’re feeling “on the day”.  That could be easing lower back pain, tired legs & hips, stiff neck & shoulders, swollen ankles or even simply a relaxing massage to promote wellbeing.  Pregnancy massage is a lighter, more gentle massage than a sports/deep tissue massage to accommodate the physiological changes of pregnancy; the techniques chosen will help to alleviate any tension, aches or pains that you are experiencing and leave you feeling refreshed in mind and body.

Relaxation Massage Therapy
Hot Stones Massage Treatment

This treatment combines heated volcanic stones with traditional massage techniques.  The heat from the stones relaxes the soft tissues so that the deep tissue massage techniques can penetrate deeper tissues than might usually be the case more quickly and with less pressure.  This is a very effective treatment that leaves you feeling very relaxed and is ideal for those who prefer a lighter massage.

In this treatment the stones are not simply placed on your body in specific areas, but are used by the therapist as a massage tool and are swept over your skin as part of the massage treatment.

The assistance of heat with a deep tissue treatment means that the hot stones treatment is ideal for those who require a remedial/sports treatment to assist with healing or recovery, whilst the relaxation qualities make it perfect for those who simply wish to reduce their muscle tension - a great all round treatment!

Note: Unfortunately this treatment is not suitable if you are pregnant.

Relaxation Massage Therapy
Cold Stones Sinus Relief Treatment

This treatment combines chilled marble stones with traditional massage techniques.  A very gentle treatment, the chilled stones are applied to your face in sweeping movements to encourage the sinuses to drain and the tissues around them to relax, leaving you feeling refreshed and able to breathe deeply.  The combination of cold stones with light massage treatment helps to reduce the inflammation and swelling, increase circulation and lower stress.  Those suffering from nasal sinus congestion and hayfever may find this a very beneficial treatment.
