ELOÏSE MAYALL
Soft Tissue Therapist
Sports & Remedial Massage Therapist
After many years working in an office-based environment, I decided that it was time for a career change. Initially I training as a pilates instructor and I currently run several local classes a week (for more details about my Pilates, click here). After a while I realised there was a gap in my knowledge and that whilst Pilates is a fantastic way of rehabilitating an injury and improving chronic conditions, there was a more I could do to help my clients and to compliment my pilates classes. Soft Tissue Therapy was the answer I was looking for. An osteopath friend of mine steered me towards the L.S.S.M. diploma in Sports and Remedial Massage Therapy and I'm so glad she did! The course offered by the L.S.S.M. was the most comprehensive course I could find and built on my existing knowledge. I came away with a greater understanding of how the musculoskeletal system works, or more importantly, what happens when it doesn't work! The wide-ranging nature of the course trained us in not only massage techniques, but also postural assessments, fascial release and neuromuscular techniques and how to draw all these elements together to assess an individual's complaint and arrive at a treatment plan that would give them relief, both in the short term and the long term.

Having qualified as a Soft Tissue Therapist, I am now offering treatments in the Tunbridge Wells/Crowborough area.
