WHAT IS...

SPORT | REMEDIAL | SOFT TISSUE THERAPY

Soft Tissue Therapy, sometimes also known as Sports Massage or Remedial Therapy, is the assessment, treatment and rehabilitation of injury, pain or dysfunction in the soft tissues and the musculoskeletal system.  If you have a long-term musculoskeletal problem or have recently sustained an injury then Soft Tissue Therapy may be an appropriate treatment for you to follow.

It is an all-encompassing treatment that takes into account your lifestyle, habits, posture as well as the soft tissue problem which is impacting your daily life.  It also tries to identify the root cause of the soft tissue dysfunction before working out a treatment that will in the short-term, alleviate your discomfort and in the medium to long-term either resolve the issue completely or help you to manage it so that your lifestyle is not impacted.

Soft Tissue Therapy uses advanced techniques, including but not limited to:

-  The deep-tissue massage, associated with

   Sports Massage treatments;

-  Neuromuscular techniques;

-  Suggesting appropriate rehabilitation

   exercises for you to continue at home;

-  Fascial mobilisation;

-  Postural assessment;

-  Scar tissue mobilisation
